The paper, in terms of scientific investigation and research references, gave a review of the studies on the regional cooperation in Northeast Asia and the development of Tumen river area, made an analysis of the relations between the social effect and scientific studies as well as practice, and indicated that the emphases of future studies and data collection work should be laid on the trend of international relationships and the evaluation of important construction items.
